YD/T 6925-2026 is the English-translated version of 人工智能 关键基础技术 智能体基础技术能力要求.

The document specifies the basic technical capabilities of artificial intelligence agents, meaning software agents built on artificial intelligence technology. Those capabilities are organised along five dimensions: basic capability, planning capability, memory capability, tool-calling capability and execution capability.

It is meant to guide the organisations that develop agent technology in their product research and development. Organisations that adopt agents as users can also draw on it as a reference when selecting products and building up their own capabilities. YD/T 6925-2026 is a voluntary standard, shown by the /T in its code, approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It was issued on 1 June 2026 and comes into force on 1 September 2026. It is a new standard.
