Scope

YD/T 6908-2026 is the English-translated version of 段路由策略测试方法.

YD/T 6908-2026 specifies the test methods for segment routing policy. The tests cover the segment routing policy delivery protocol functions, the validity of candidate paths, the selection of the active candidate path, traffic steering and packet encapsulation under a segment routing policy, and segment routing policy protection.

The document applies to the research, development and testing of network devices and controllers that support segment routing policy. Equipment manufacturers, test laboratories and operators that check such devices before deployment are typical users. The /T in the code shows that it is voluntary. It was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, issued on 1 June 2026 and takes effect on 1 September 2026. It is a new standard and does not replace an earlier edition, so laboratories can adopt it directly as the reference for these tests.
