YD/T 6895-2026 specifies the classification and specifications, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transport and storage of small generating sets for telecommunications with intelligent management, control and dispatch. It applies to small petrol generating sets that supply power to communication equipment at 400 V/230 V AC and -48 V DC, namely variable-frequency and fixed-frequency petrol generating sets with an output power of not more than 20 kW.

The document is used by generating set manufacturers, by test laboratories that carry out type and inspection tests, and by telecommunication operators and other buyers who purchase backup or standby power for communication sites. It is a voluntary standard issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on 1 June 2026 and effective from 1 September 2026. It is a new standard.
