The master equipment and the slave equipment together make up the fiber link that brings the network to each room of an office or other business premises.

It applies to the design, development and testing of enterprise equipment in FTTR scenarios based on the public telecommunication network. Typical users are equipment manufacturers, telecom operators and enterprise network buyers, and test laboratories. It is a voluntary standard (code with /T). It was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, issued on 1 June 2026 and takes effect on 1 September 2026. It is a new standard.
