YD/T 6876-2026 specifies the general technical requirements for cloud-based augmented reality (AR) services under 5G networks. It covers the overall architecture and the division of functions, the terminal application services that support an AR cloud platform, and the requirements that cloud-based augmented reality places on 5G network indicators. In this model the AR processing runs in the cloud and is delivered to the user's terminal over the 5G network.

The document applies to the deployment and implementation of cloud-based augmented reality services over 5G networks. Its users are mobile network operators, AR cloud platform and application providers, and terminal manufacturers. It is a voluntary standard, as the /T in its code shows. It was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, issued on 1 June 2026 and takes effect on 1 September 2026. It is a new standard.
