Scope

YD/T 6868-2026 is the English-translated version of 安全芯片非入侵式攻击缓解方法.

The document specifies methods for mitigating non-invasive attacks on security chips. These include general mitigation methods at different levels of the chip, and targeted mitigation methods for the algorithms SM2, SM3-HMAC, SM4, SM9 and ZUC. Non-invasive attacks are those that observe or disturb a chip from outside, without opening or damaging it, and the standard deals with how a chip can be made resistant to them.

It is used to guide manufacturers in the design of security chips, so that the chips have sufficient ability to mitigate non-invasive attacks. Chip designers, SIM and secure element makers, and laboratories that evaluate chip security are typical users. It is a voluntary standard, as shown by the /T in its code. It was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, issued on 15 April 2026 and takes effect on 1 August 2026. It is a new standard.
