YD/T 6860-2026 specifies the basic requirements for cryptography application in the element management system of a 5G core network. It covers the cryptography application architecture of the element management system, the technical and management needs for cryptography application, the general requirements, and the technical requirements for cryptography application at the second, third and fourth levels. It guides and regulates the planning, construction, operation and evaluation of cryptography application in element management systems.

Telecom operators, equipment vendors, cryptography solution providers and evaluators are the readers it is written for. The document is voluntary (code with /T) and was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It was issued on 15 April 2026 and takes effect on 1 August 2026. It is a new standard and replaces no earlier edition. The English translation gives overseas suppliers the full level-by-level requirements for 5G core network element management systems.
