YD/T 6859-2026 is the English-translated version of 云防火墙能力要求.

YD/T 6859-2026 specifies the capability requirements for a cloud firewall, covering core security capabilities, security management capabilities and platform capabilities. It gives suppliers a basis for designing and developing cloud firewalls, and gives users a basis for evaluating and using them.

Cloud firewall suppliers, cloud service operators, enterprise buyers and evaluation bodies can use it. The document is voluntary, as the /T in its code shows, and was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It was issued on 15 April 2026 and takes effect on 1 August 2026. It is a new standard and does not replace an earlier edition. The English translation lets foreign suppliers and purchasing teams see the three groups of capability requirements in full, and use them when they specify, bid for or assess a cloud firewall product.
