YD/T 6857-2026 describes the test methods for honeypots that support mimic defense. It covers the methods for testing a mimic honeypot in terms of function, performance and security. It applies to the development, production, certification and deployment in real environments of honeypot products supporting mimic defense.

Test laboratories, certification bodies, product developers and the operators that deploy these honeypots are the expected users. The document is voluntary (code with /T) and was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It was issued on 15 April 2026 and takes effect on 1 August 2026. It is a new standard and does not replace an earlier edition. The English translation provides foreign laboratories and suppliers with the complete test methods, which they can apply alongside the technical requirements for the same type of honeypot.
