Scope
YD/T 6823-2026 is the English-translated version of 面向电力行业应用的5G网络切片安全要求.
The document specifies security requirements for 5G network slicing in electric power industry applications. A network slice is a logically separate virtual network carved out of a shared 5G network, and here it is used to build dedicated 5G networks for power applications. The requirements cover radio slice security, transport slice security, core network slice security, slice transmission security, slice authentication security and slice security management. The document guides the electric power industry in building 5G private networks through slicing technology.
The standard is voluntary, as the /T in the code shows. Power companies, telecom operators that provide slices, equipment vendors and test laboratories will use it. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology approved it; it was issued on 15 April 2026 and takes effect on 1 August 2026. It is a new standard.
