Scope
YD/T 6819-2026 is the English-translated version of 车载信息娱乐系统应用软件安全技术要求.
The document sets out technical requirements for the security of application software running on in-vehicle infotainment systems. The requirements cover the security of the application itself, security of its local operation and communication security. The infotainment system is the in-vehicle unit that provides entertainment and information services, and this standard concerns the apps that run on it rather than the vehicle hardware. It applies to the design, development and security testing of in-vehicle infotainment application software.
The standard is voluntary, as the /T in the code shows. Application developers, infotainment system suppliers, vehicle manufacturers and test laboratories will find it relevant. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology approved it; it was issued on 15 April 2026 and takes effect on 1 August 2026. It is a new standard, so buyers and developers can use it as the basis for security expectations in contracts for infotainment applications.
