The document sets out technical requirements for the information security of terminal names on smartphones. It covers the basic requirements for smartphones, verification of the terminal name, security of the terminal name, retention of logs, and requirements for the information security policy platform. The terminal name is the name by which a smartphone identifies itself, and the standard deals with protecting that information against misuse. It applies to the design, development and management of the terminal name security function in smartphones and in information security policy platforms.

The standard is voluntary (code with /T). Smartphone manufacturers, developers of policy platforms, telecom operators and test laboratories that check this function are the intended users. It was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, issued on 15 April 2026 and takes effect on 1 August 2026. It is a new standard, so there is no earlier edition to compare against.
