YD/T 6805-2026 covers the security evaluation of algorithm engines that detect deepfake audio. It specifies the evaluation content that bears on the security of such engines, the evaluation indicators for deepfake audio detection algorithms, and the evaluation methods. A deepfake audio detection engine is the software that decides whether a voice recording has been synthesised or forged, and this document defines how its security is to be examined. It guides developers, providers and users of audio deepfake detection engines in their security evaluation work, and it also applies to evaluation tasks carried out by third-party evaluators.

Compliance is voluntary, as the /T in the code indicates. Developers and providers of detection engines, organisations that deploy them and independent test bodies will use it. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology approved the standard; it was issued on 15 April 2026 and takes effect on 1 August 2026. It is a new standard.
