Gateway equipment developers, video platform providers and telecom operators that open multicast capability to video services can use it when specifying and building the gateway. It is a voluntary industry standard (code with /T) of the communications sector, approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It was issued on 11 March 2026 and takes effect on 1 June 2026. It is a new standard that replaces no earlier edition.
