YD/T 6729-2026 is the English-translated version of IP网络中组播VPN的YANG模型技术要求.

YD/T 6729-2026 specifies the southbound interface protocol requirements for multicast virtual private networks (VPN) in IP networks, together with the corresponding YANG data model. YANG is the data modelling language used to describe configuration and state data for network devices. The document applies to IP network devices that support the multicast VPN function.

Equipment vendors, operators running VPN services, and developers of network controllers and management software can use it as a shared model when configuring and monitoring multicast VPN features. It is a voluntary industry standard (code with /T) of the communications sector, approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It was issued on 11 March 2026 and takes effect on 1 June 2026. It is a new standard that does not replace an earlier edition.
