YD/T 6723-2026 specifies the basic architecture and technical requirements of terabit-class heterogeneous hardware programmable cloud network gateways. The main content is the system architecture of the programmable cloud network gateway, the hardware and software technical requirements, and the functional requirements of the northbound control interface. It applies to the product development of programmable cloud network gateways for scenarios such as central cloud, edge cloud and customer edge cloud.

Gateway manufacturers, cloud service providers, operators and system integrators designing cloud access and interconnection can use the document when developing or specifying such products. It is a voluntary industry standard (code with /T) of the communications sector, approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It was issued on 11 March 2026 and takes effect on 1 June 2026. It is a new standard and replaces no earlier edition.
