YD/T 6707-2026 specifies the technical protocol, functional requirements and performance requirements for quantum secure communication application equipment and terminal equipment based on the MACSec protocol. MACSec is the link-layer security protocol used to protect Ethernet traffic. The document also describes the matching test methods. It applies to the development, testing, use and management of MACSec-based quantum secure communication application equipment and terminal equipment.

The document serves equipment manufacturers designing quantum-secured Ethernet links, test laboratories that check conformity of such devices, and network operators and enterprise users who deploy and manage them. It is a voluntary industry standard (code with /T) in the communications field, approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
