YD/T 6703-2026 specifies service requirements for two port operations based on the 5G system: remote driving of unmanned container trucks, and remote control of port machinery. It covers the system framework for port remote control, the communication requirements, the two service procedures and the information exchange requirements at the application layer.

The document applies, in port settings, to remote control systems for port machinery based on a 5G communication network, and to remote takeover systems for unmanned container trucks above level L4, in their design and development. Port operators, machinery and vehicle makers, system developers and telecom operators can use it. It is a voluntary standard approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, issued on 11 March 2026 and effective from 1 June 2026. It is a new standard.
