YD/T 6700-2026 specifies the technical requirements, and the corresponding test methods, for edge data center networks serving service-oriented manufacturing. The requirements address general facilities, routing protocols, operation and management, network management protocols, security of wireless network equipment, short-range wireless transmission, long-range wireless transmission and wired communication.

The document applies to the construction and design of edge data center networks for service-oriented manufacturing, and to the evaluation of network equipment. Network designers, equipment vendors, manufacturers building such networks and test laboratories can use it. It is a voluntary standard approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, issued on 11 March 2026 and effective from 1 June 2026. It is a new standard.
