This document specifies the indicators used to measure how well a content distribution network (CDN) supports IPv6, together with the matching evaluation methods. It belongs to the series on IPv6 support requirements and evaluation methods for internet services.

It applies to the overall evaluation of IPv6 support while a CDN operator converts its network to IPv4/IPv6 dual stack. CDN operators, internet service providers, testing organizations and customers who buy CDN services can use it to judge the progress of that conversion. YD/T 6684-2026 is a voluntary standard approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, issued on 11 March 2026 and effective from 1 June 2026. It is a new standard.
