YD/T 6668-2026 specifies the technical requirements for fine-granularity channel management and control in a Slicing Packet Network (SPN). It includes the overall requirements for fine-granularity channel management and control, and the technical requirements for the functions needed to realize it: topology management, resource collection and reporting, path computation and path delivery. The document applies to the research, development, testing and application of SPN equipment that supports fine-granularity technology in metropolitan and backbone networks, and of miniaturized access SPN equipment.

The standard is used by SPN equipment and controller manufacturers, by carriers that operate metropolitan and backbone transport networks, and by test laboratories. It is a voluntary standard, as shown by the /T in its code. It was issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on 11 March 2026 and takes effect on 1 June 2026. It is a new standard.
