The standard is used by manufacturers of time synchronization equipment and modules, by communication equipment makers that integrate such modules, by test laboratories, and by network operators who maintain synchronization in their networks. It is a voluntary standard, as shown by the /T in its code. It was issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on 11 March 2026 and takes effect on 1 June 2026. It is a new standard.
