YD/T 6647-2026 sets out the specification for building a traffic model for time-sensitive networking in industrial internet scenarios. The document applies to the planning, design and optimization of time-sensitive networking (TSN) inside industrial enterprises, with the manufacturing industry as the main example, and to the development of related products.

The standard is used by industrial network planners and designers, by manufacturers of TSN switches and related products, and by factory operators who optimize their internal networks. It is a voluntary standard, as shown by the /T in its code. It was issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on 11 March 2026 and takes effect on 1 June 2026. It is a new standard. Because it concentrates on how the traffic model is constructed for enterprise-internal networks, it addresses the modelling step that comes before network configuration and product work.
