YD/T 6644-2026 specifies the interface technical requirements for software-defined networks inside a factory. It covers the interface types, the northbound interface, the U/N interface and the southbound interface. The document applies to software-defined industrial communication network systems used for factory measurement, monitoring and control, and it serves as the main technical basis for the design, construction, acceptance and inspection of software-defined factory network systems.

The standard is used by manufacturers of network controllers and industrial network equipment, by system integrators and factory operators who build and accept such networks, and by inspection bodies. It is a voluntary standard, as shown by the /T in its code. It was issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on 11 March 2026 and takes effect on 1 June 2026. It is a new standard.
