YD/T 6641-2026 specifies the technical requirements and test methods for edge gateways in industrial internet edge computing. The requirements cover edge gateway hardware capability, network switching, control, data acquisition, resumption of transmission after a network outage, data analysis, the development environment, edge intelligence, collaborative functions, operation and maintenance management, and security, together with the matching test methods. The document applies to testing and selecting edge gateways. Similar edge gateways at the edge side may follow it by reference.

The standard is used by gateway manufacturers, test laboratories, and industrial users or integrators who evaluate gateways for factory and field deployment. It is a voluntary standard, as shown by the /T in its code. It was issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on 11 March 2026 and takes effect on 1 June 2026. It is a new standard.
