This document specifies the technical requirements for line-side 800Gb/s optical transceiver modules used in metro applications. The requirements cover optoelectronic characteristics, software, restricted substances, reliability and electromagnetic compatibility. It also describes the corresponding test methods and sets out the inspection rules, together with marking, packaging, transport and storage. It applies to the design, development, production and inspection of these modules.

Module manufacturers, optical component suppliers, test laboratories and equipment vendors that build metro transmission systems will use it as a common reference for specification and verification. It is a voluntary industry standard (code with /T) and forms Part 2 of the series on metro application line-side optical transceiver modules. It was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, issued on 1 June 2026 and takes effect on 1 September 2026. It is a new standard.
