YD/T 3421.15-2026 specifies the security technical requirements for an intelligent gateway that integrates the functions of an IPTV set-top box. The requirements cover hardware security, system security, communication security, application security and data security. It applies to the design, development, production and operation of intelligent gateways for broadband customers on public telecommunication networks that combine the gateway with IPTV set-top box functions.

The document is useful to gateway manufacturers and designers, software developers, and telecom operators that deploy and run such devices. It is a voluntary industry standard, as shown by the /T in its code, and it forms Part 15 of the series on broadband customer intelligent gateways. It was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, issued on 15 April 2026 and takes effect on 1 August 2026. It is a new standard.
