YB/T 6541-2026 specifies the grade designation method, ordering information, manufacturing method, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificate for steel plate used for high-pressure pipes in compressed air energy storage. It applies to steel plate with a thickness from 6.0 mm to 60.0 mm for the high-pressure pipelines of compressed air energy storage power stations. The plate is formed into the pipes that carry compressed air between the storage and the plant in such stations, and the document covers how it is ordered, made, tested and delivered.

Plate mills, pipe makers, designers and builders of energy storage stations, buyers and inspection bodies can use it to define orders and verify deliveries. It is a voluntary standard (code with /T), issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on 15 July 2026 and effective from 1 February 2027. It is a new standard.
