YB/T 6533-2026 is the English-translated version of 电渣重熔钢坯.

YB/T 6533-2026 covers electroslag remelting steel blanks. It sets out the manufacturing process, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, painting, the quality certificate and transport. It applies to electroslag remelted slabs with a thickness of 200 mm to 1000 mm and electroslag remelted round blanks with a diameter of 300 mm to 1600 mm.

Steel producers that remelt, forgers and rolling mills that buy the blanks for further processing, and inspection laboratories can use it to define supply and acceptance. It is a voluntary standard, as the /T in its code indicates. It was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, issued on 15 July 2026 and takes effect on 1 February 2027. It is a new standard.
