YB/T 6527-2026 sets out technical requirements for intelligent control systems for cold rolling production in the iron and steel industry. It covers the system architecture and basic requirements, and the requirements for the collection layer, platform layer and application layer. It applies to the research, development and design of intelligent control systems for cold rolling production in the iron and steel industry.

Cold rolling mills, automation and information system engineers, and software and equipment suppliers can use it to design and evaluate such systems. It is a voluntary standard, as the /T in its code shows. It was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, issued on 15 July 2026 and takes effect on 1 February 2027. It is a new standard.
