YB/T 6521-2026 specifies a wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometric method for determining the contents of titanium, silicon, aluminum, phosphorus, copper and manganese in ferrotitanium. It applies to the determination of these six elements in ferrotitanium.

Ferroalloy producers, steelmakers and other buyers of ferrotitanium, and independent testing laboratories can use it for composition analysis of the alloy in production control and in checking deliveries. It is a voluntary standard, as the /T in its code shows. It was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, issued on 15 July 2026 and takes effect on 1 February 2027. It is a new standard.
