YB/T 6478-2026 sets out technical requirements for artificial-intelligence-based intelligent warehouse scheduling systems for steel wire and bar products. It covers the system architecture, general requirements, intelligent sensing in the storage area, intelligent scheduling in the storage area, coordinated control in the storage area, safety alarms, and data communication and interfaces. It applies to the development and design of intelligent warehouse scheduling systems for wire and bar storage areas inside steel plants.

Steel producers, logistics and warehouse managers, and suppliers of automation and scheduling systems can use it when developing or assessing such systems. It is a voluntary standard, as the /T in its code indicates. It was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, issued on 15 July 2026 and takes effect on 1 February 2027. It is a new standard.
