XF/T 635-2023 was issued by Ministry of Emergency Management on 19 July 2023 and has been in force since 19 October 2023.

It replaces the earlier edition XF/T 635-2006.

2 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions of infrared thermal imaging cameras for fire protection, and stipulates their classification, model, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, markings, and packaging and transportation requirements. This standard applies to portable, mobile and fixed infrared thermal imaging cameras used in fire fighting and rescue, emergency and disaster relief, and fire safety inspection and monitoring.
