1 Foreword

XF 630-2023 was issued by Ministry of Emergency Management on 19 July 2023 and has been in force since 19 January 2024.

It replaces the earlier edition XF 630-2006.

2 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions of fire-fighting waist axes, and stipulates its model preparation methods, design requirements, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements. This standard applies to fire axes carried by fire rescue personnel during operations for manual demolition of non-energized obstacles.
