WJ/T 9109-2026 gives general technical requirements for the manufacture of industrial electronic detonators. It applies to the equipment used to produce industrial electronic detonators, and covers the design, manufacture, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of that production equipment.

Detonator manufacturers, producers and suppliers of production equipment, system integrators, installation and maintenance teams and safety supervisors can use it when they plan, build or run such production lines. The standard is voluntary, as shown by the /T in its code. It was issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on 16 April 2026 and takes effect on 1 November 2026. It is a new standard.
