Scope

TB 10006-2016 is the English-translated version of 铁路通信设计规范.

TB 10006-2016 — 1.0.1 This Code is developed to unify the standard for the design of railway communication. 1.0.2 This Code is applicable to railway communication system or upgrading of existing system.

1.0.3 The design of railway communication shall comply with the requirements of the voice, data and image services in the production and operation management of railway transportation.

1.0.4 Advanced and proven technology shall be used for design of railway communication, complying new with the requirements of digitalization, broadband, intelligence and comprehensiveness.

1.0.5 The technology, new material, new process, and new product used in the design of railway communication shall comply with the requirements of relevant railway engineering construction management.

1.0.6 The design of railway communication shall comply with the planning of the railway communication network, follow the principles of "integrity", "interoperability", "resource sharing'', "rational layout" and "cost effectiveness and applicability'', and consider the connection with the existing railway communication network.

1.0.7 The design of railway communication shall comply with the requirements of reliability, availability, maintainability and safety for the equipment operation and maintenance.

1.0.8 Communication system shall be well designed based on class of railways, type of traffic, Services requirements and the equipment maintenance management requirement of railway operators.

1.0.9 Maintenance organization shall be established with proper provision of spare parts and maintenance equipment according to the equipment maintenance management requirements.

1.0.10 The location and mode of railway communication equipment and facilities shall comply with the requirements of the railway structure gauge. 1.0.11 The usage of the railway wireless communication frequency shall comply with relevant national and railway radio administration regulations.
