4 Aerodynamic wind tunnel requirements
According to the basic requirements of aerodynamic test, this standard specifies the flow field quality requirements of aerodynamic wind tunnels and the functions and performance requirements of main test equipment.
Please see Appendix A.
5 The basic test procedure and method of the experiment
5.1 Vehicle inspection
5.1.1 Vehicle cleaning
Before the test vehicle enters the wind tunnel, ensure that the vehicle is clean and tidy, including the body, engine compartment, chassis, tires and other decorative parts, etc.
For model vehicles, it is necessary to check whether there are residues such as sludge, plastic fragments, dust, foam, etc. in the engine compartment, chassis guard, etc.
Make sure to clean up before wind blows.
5.1.2 Vehicle appearance inspection
The appearance of the vehicle is required to be intact, free of abnormal bumps, wear, cracks, and component defects, mainly including engine compartment cover and front windshield glass Glass, rear windshield glass, trunk cover, rearview mirrors, fenders, air intake grille and other parts of the body that affect aerodynamic performance.
5.1.3 Check the tightness of components
The test requires that the components of the vehicle and the installation of the pneumatic solution kit are firm and reliable. The main inspections include exterior mirrors, wipers, antennas, Wheels, rear fin, diffuser and chassis and other parts of the baffle.
5.1.4 Engine compartment
It is required to ensure that the engine compartment wiring harness, air-conditioning pipeline, radiator assembly, hatch cover sealing strip and cover plate and other components are firm and free of foreign matter.
5.1.5 Tires
The brand, model and tread pattern of the tire used in the test shall be consistent, and the appearance of the tire skin shall be free from damage, aging and cracking, and tire wear shall be uniform and not exceeding the over-wear limit marking line, the connection between the hub and the brake disc are reliable and ensure normal rotation.
5.1.6 Fuel quantity and other fluids
5.1.6.1 For vehicles that use fuel, it is necessary to check the fuel status and fill up with fuel before entering the wind tunnel.
5.1.6.2 For real vehicles, other vehicle oils should be at a normal level.
5.2 Wheel running requirements
5.2.1 Requirements on the gearbox
5.2.1.1 For manual transmission vehicles, there is no need to dismantle the half shafts, and the neutral gear can be directly operated after installation.
5.2.1.2 For automatic transmission vehicles, determine whether it can be towed for a long time at a high speed according to the specific form of the gearbox.
For the towable gearbox, it is necessary to remove the drive shaft from the gearbox, insert the ball head back into the wheel shaft and lock it with the original bolt or nut to prevent the car the wheel escapes at high speeds, such as a four-wheel drive vehicle that needs to leave the differential.
5.2.2 Requirements for wheels
5.2.2.1 Tire pressure
This standard stipulates that the tire pressure of the test vehicle is set according to the factory standard, and the model vehicle or engineering prototype vehicle is adjusted according to the design requirements, and the tire pressure adjustment is completed before the wheels are running.
5.2.2.2 Dynamic balance
This standard stipulates that for test vehicles with operational requirements for the wheels, the wheels used in the test must meet the requirements of the OEM for the dynamic balance of the wheels.
It is required to rotate the tires after installation on the vehicle, measure the outer ring up and down runout less than 1 mm, and measure the axial runout on the outer surface to be less than 1 mm. For If there is no tire rotation requirement during the test, this requirement may not be considered.
5.2.2.3 Tightening inspection
The tightening torque of the wheel fastening bolts is required to reach between 120 N-m and 140 N-m.
5.2.2.4 Other instructions
The above inspection items are also applicable to model vehicles.
5.3 Vehicle installation
5.3.1 Wheelbase measurement and adjustment
The installation and connection of the balance and the vehicle need to determine the wheelbase and wheelbase of the vehicle, and the measurement position of the wheelbase and wheelbase of the vehicle (including model vehicles) as shown in Figure 2, this standard stipulates that the position of the wheel placed in the wheel rotation unit should be placed in the center, with a deviation of <=±15 mm from the X center line, and Y the deviation of the center line is <=±5 mm as shown in Figure 3.
