What this standard covers

This standard specifies the minimum requirements for flexible pipe design, material selection, manufacturing, testing, marking and packaging. This standard applies to non-bonded flexible tubes with end fittings. It is suitable for flexible pipes for conveying sweet and acidic media. It is suitable for static and dynamic oil pipes, risers and jumpers. This standard does not apply to bonded flexible pipes and flexible pipes containing non-metallic tensile and compressive armor wires and flexible pipes used as choke and kill lines.
