Scope
SY/T 6423.7-2017 is the English-translated version of 石油天然气工业 钢管无损检测方法 第7部分:无缝和焊接铁磁性钢管表面缺欠的磁粉检测.
SY/T 6423.7-2017 — This standard specifies the seamless and welded ferromagnetic steel pipe and the end face/bevel surface defect magnetic particle testing requirements.
For tube body, including all or part of the surface of the surface defect detection. If there is an agreement between the purchaser and the supplier, including surface imperfections within a certain distance from the pipe end, the detection distance depends on the pipe diameter.
In addition, this section can be used for other non-destructive testing methods (such as ultrasonic testing) to detect defects in the outer surface of steel positioning, and to confirm the lack of complete removal.
This standard specifies the requirements of stratified imperfection testing for flat ends and beveled ends of pipe ends. Layering imperfections can affect subsequent assembly and testing operations (such as ultrasonic testing of welds and welds).
