What this standard covers

This standard applies to DNV-OS-F101 [8], [9] or others such as ASME B31.8 [2], PD8010 [5], IGEM/TD [1] [10], ISO/DIS 13623 [11], CSA Z662-94 [7] and other approved pipe design specifications of the design of carbon steel pipe corrosion defects assessment (see 1.6 does not apply to other accessories), assuming that there is no contrary to the design concept of security concepts. The effect of sustained corrosion growth should be taken into account when assessing corrosion. If a (highly) corrosion zone is to continue, then any measures to prevent further corrosion should be taken or a suitable monitoring and monitoring program should be used to monitor any further growth
