3 Method summary

The sample is dissolved with nitric acid and hydrofluoric acid, perchloric acid is added to evaporate to nearly dryness, and other metal ions are formed by adding a strong alkali solution.

Formed a precipitate and removed by filtration. Add excess EDTA to complex with aluminum ion, and back titrate the excess EDTA with copper sulfate. Add sodium fluoride Replace the EDTA complexed with aluminum ion in the same amount, then titrate and record with copper sulfate standard solution, and get the result from the volume of copper sulfate consumed Aluminum content.

a) Standard solution of copper sulfate (0.007 mol/L)

1) Preparation. Weigh 1.7478 g (accurate to 0.0001 g) of copper sulfate (CuSO4·5H2O), dissolve it in a small amount of water, and transfer it to 1000 Add 10 mL of sulfuric acid (4.4) to the mL volumetric flask, dilute the volume and shake well.

2) Calibration. Use a single-scale pipette to accurately pipette 20 mL of aluminum standard solution (4.11) into a.200 mL Erlenmeyer flask, and add it with a graduated cylinder 20 mL EDTA (4.10), 20 mL acetic acid-sodium acetate buffer (4.8), heat and boil for 5 min, remove and add 8 drops of PAN finger Indicator (4.13), immediately titrate with copper sulfate standard solution (4.14.1) until a stable purple-red color appears, and then add 20 mL of sodium fluoride saturated Liquid (4.6), the solution appears fruity green, heat and boil for 5 minutes, remove it and add 4 drops of PAN (4.13) indicator while it is hot, and then use copper sulfate the standard solution (4.14.1) is titrated until a stable purple-red color appears, and the volume of the copper sulfate standard solution (4.14.1) consumed for the second time is recorded.

b) Standard solution of copper sulfate (0.002 mol/L)

1) Preparation. Measure.200 mL of copper sulfate standard solution (4.14.1) in a 1000 mL volumetric flask with a graduated cylinder, and mix with 500 mL of water.

2) Calibration. Use a single-scale pipette to accurately pipette 10 mL of aluminum standard solution (4.11) into a.200 mL conical flask, and add 20 mLEDTA (4.10), 20 mL of acetic acid-sodium acetate buffer solution (4.8), heat and boil for 5 min, remove it and add 8 drops of PAN while hot.

Reagent (4.13), immediately titrate with copper sulfate standard solution (4.14.2) until a stable purple-red color appears, and then add 20 mL of saturated sodium fluoride solution (4.6), the solution appears fruity green, heat and boil for 5 min, remove it and add 4 drops of PAN (4.13) indicator while it is hot, then use copper sulfate standard the solution (4.14.2) was titrated until a stable purple-red color appeared, and the volume of the copper sulfate standard solution (4.14.2) consumed for the second time was recorded.

5.5 Single-scale pipette, 20 mL.

6 Sample preparation

Take samples according to GB/T4010, and the samples should pass through 0.125 mm sieve.

7 Analysis steps

7.1 Weighing the sample

Weigh the sample according to Table 1 to the nearest 0.0001 g.

7.3 Determination

7.3.1 Accurately weigh the sample according to 7.1 and place it in a 50 mL PTFE beaker, add 10 mL nitric acid (4.2), and slowly add 3 drops while shaking.

mL~5 mL of hydrofluoric acid (4.3), until the sample is completely dissolved and the solution is colorless. Add 2 mL of perchloric acid (4.1) and mix well, and heat on the hot plate when it is almost dry, remove it and let it cool, add 10 mL of hydrochloric acid (4.5), rinse the wall of the cup with a little hot water, and heat to dissolve the salts.

7.3.2 While shaking, add 20 mL of sodium hydroxide solution (4.7) until precipitation appears, heat it on a hot plate at a low temperature until it boils, and keep it for 5 Min, remove it while it is hot and filter it in a 400 mL Erlenmeyer flask with a medium-speed quantitative filter paper. Wash the beaker with boiling hot sodium hydroxide lotion (4.9) and precipitation three times each, add 2 drops of phenolphthalein indicator (4.12) to the filtrate, and quickly neutralize it with hydrochloric acid (4.5) to colorless and an excess of 1 drop (solution from turbid to clear).

7.3.3 Use a pipette to pipette 20 mL EDTA (4.10), 20 mL acetic acid-sodium acetate buffer (4.8) into the above conical flask, boil 5 Min, remove and add 8 drops of PAN indicator (4.13) while it is hot, and immediately titrate with copper sulfate standard solution (4.14.1) until a stable purple-red color appears.

7.3.4 Add 20 mL of saturated sodium fluoride (4.6) to the measuring cylinder, at this time the solution is fruit green, boil for 5 minutes, remove it and add 4 drops of PAN while it is hot the indicator (4.13) is titrated with copper sulfate standard solution (the applicable copper sulfate standard solution is determined according to the aluminum content) until a stable purple-red color appears, Record the volume of copper sulfate standard solution consumed.

8 Result calculation

Calculate the aluminum content (mass fraction) in the sample according to formula (2), and the value is expressed in %.

c- The concentration of the copper sulfate standard solution, in moles per liter (mol/L);

V1- The volume of the copper sulfate standard solution consumed by the titration sample, in milliliters (mL);

V0- the volume of the copper sulfate standard solution consumed by the blank sample, in milliliters (mL);

m- the mass of the sample, in grams (g);

0.0180- The mass of aluminum equivalent to 1.00 mL of copper sulfate solution (concentration of 1 mol/L), in grams (g).

The calculation result is kept to two decimal places.

9 Precision

8 laboratories conduct method precision tests on 3 levels of samples, and perform statistics in accordance with GB/T 6379.2.Method precision See Table 2.
