1 Scope

This part of SN/T 4238 specifies the basis and elements for the assessment of the conformity of the quality and safety of the import and export of industrial products.

Process and disposal, etc.

This part is applicable to the entry and exit inspection and quarantine institutions (hereinafter referred to as inspection and quarantine institutions) for the inspection of the entry-exit inspection and quarantine institutions.

The Catalogue of Inbound and Outbound Commodities for Inspection and Quarantine (hereinafter referred to as the "Catalogue") and other laws and administrative regulations shall be subject to inspection by entry-exit inspection and quarantine institutions.

The acceptance of the inspection of import and export industrial products is based on the conformity assessment activities for the implementation of conformity assessment.

Import and export industrial products that require supervision and random inspection outside the Catalogue may be referred to.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions as defined by SN/T 4238.1-2015 apply to this document.

Product technical characteristics technicalcharacteristicsoftheproduct Import and export product information that can only be obtained by visual inspection or simple measurement means, and special inspection equipment and methods are required.

Non-technicalcharacteristicsoftheproduct by means of visual or simple measurement means, the import and export product information that can be obtained without special testing equipment and methods is required.

4 Basic principles

For the import and export of industrial products importers, manufacturers or brand suppliers, the procurement basis issued by the credit reporting agency, inspection and quarantine machine the conformity assessment of relevant import and export industrial products shall be carried out in accordance with the requirements of this section.
