1 Scope

This part of SN/T 2763 specifies the method for determining the moisture content of the laterite nickel ore delivery batch.

This section applies to the determination of the moisture content of the batch of laterite nickel ore.

3 Method summary

The sample was dried to constant weight in a stream of air at 105 °C. The moisture content was calculated by measuring the mass loss of the sample.

4 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions defined by SN/T 2726 apply to this document.

Delivery batch consignment A certain amount of ore delivered in one delivery. The delivery batch may consist of a batch of ore in a batch, batch or batch.

Large sample

Consisting of all samples, a sample that fully represents all of the quality characteristics of a batch.

Parallel partialsample A sample consisting of a portion of the parts that make up a large sample.

Increment

A certain amount of ore collected by the sampling or sample reduction device in one operation.

Sample

A representative relatively small amount of ore is taken from a batch of ore to be evaluated for quality characteristics.

Laboratory sample Samples prepared for inspection or testing at a laboratory.
