1 Scope

This section specifies the definition, technical requirements, inspection and appraisal, quality level assessment and test results of non-genuine billet/round billet.

This section applies to the inspection and identification of non-genuine billet/round billet and grade 1 residual billet/round billet.

2 Normative references

The terms in the following documents are incorporated by reference in this part of SN/T 1733 as part of this section. For dated references, all subsequent amendments (not including errata content) or revisions do not apply to this section, however, an agreement is encouraged under this section.

The parties are studying whether the latest version of these documents can be used. For undated references, the latest edition applies to this section.

3 Terms and definitions

GB/T 702, GB 4223, YB/T 001, YB/T 002, YB/T 004, YB/T.2011, YB/T 5221, YB/T 5222 were established and the following terms and definitions apply to this section.

Refers to the billet/round billet specified in the specifications of the country of production or the contract of the trade contract (see Appendix A) for specifications, appearance and quality.

Trade is accustomed to be called "secondary billet/round billet secondarysteelbiletsandroundbilets", including equal billet/round Billet, etc.

It means that some or all of the specifications, appearance, quality, etc. do not meet the requirements of the corresponding genuine standard, but the product still retains the original billet/round billet.

It means that the specifications, appearance and quality of the single piece meet the requirements of the original standard, but the whole batch of goods exists in various grades, multiple specifications, multiple materials, and one piece.

Billet/round billet with characteristics such as large weight difference.

Refers to waste billet/round billet products such as scraps that have serious defects that cannot be used for their original purposes, or that can only be used for smelting and recycling.
