1 Scope

This part of SN/T 1732 specifies the qualitative detection method of chlorinated paraffin in fireworks and pyrotechnics.

3 Method summary

The chlorinated paraffin in the pyrotechnic drug sample is extracted and precipitated with dichloromethane and absolute ethanol, and then measured by an infrared spectrometer, and the measured the infrared spectrum is compared with the standard infrared spectrum for qualitative analysis.

4 Reagents and materials

All reagents were of analytical grade unless otherwise stated.

4.1 Potassium bromide. pure spectrum.

4.2 Dichloromethane or equivalent solvent.

4.3 Anhydrous ethanol.

4.4 Chlorinated paraffin standard. purity is 99.5%.

5 Instruments and equipment

5.1 Infrared spectrometer or equivalent instrument.

5.2 Analytical balance.

5.3 Centrifuge. The speed is not less than 3000r/min.

5.4 Quick Mixer.

5.5 Glass test tube. 10 mL.
