SL 391.4-2007 — This standard applies to the extraction of soil, sediment insoluble or sparingly water-soluble semi-volatile organic compounds, including organic phosphorus pesticides, organochlorine pesticides, chlorinated herbicides, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), polychlorinated dibenzo for dioxins and polychlorinated dibenzofurans (PCDDs/PCDFs), total petroleum hydrocarbons, diesel and waste oil.

Small particles of the dried object extraction efficiency is higher, so the sample is preferably subjected to dry milling and then extracted.
