SH/T 3184-2017 — This standard stipulates the design principles and technical requirements for the metrology and measurement programs for petrochemical storage and transportation system tanks, automation instrumentation and engineering design, automatic control systems, safety protection, production management systems, and liquefied hydrocarbon loading and shipping systems.

This standard is applicable to the automatic control system engineering design of storage and transportation system tanks in the new construction, expansion and renovation projects of petrochemicals and enterprises that take enzymes as raw materials for oil products and chemical products.

It is also suitable for steel tank storage tanks for storage and transportation systems for petrochemical raw materials, intermediate products, and products. This standard does not apply to liquid ammonia and other cryogenic normal pressure tank areas, liquefied natural gas (LNG) tank area.
