This standard specifies the material selection, design, manufacturing, inspection and acceptance of cylindrical welded silos with self-supporting steel and aluminum skirts and center discharge. This standard applies to cylindrical deep silos in the petrochemical industry where the storage medium is granular or powdered solid loose materials. The applicable scope is: a) the volume is not less than 50m3; b) the design pressure of the silo: positive pressure is not more than 20kPag (0.02MPag), negative pressure is not less than -5kPag (-0.005MPag); c) the ratio of height H to inner diameter Di is less than or equal to 5.
