Scope
QC/T 996-2015 is the English-translated version of 汽车空气干燥器技术要求及台架试验方法.
Air dryer assemblies used in the compressed-air brake systems of motor vehicles are the subject of QC/T 996-2015, a recommended standard of the Chinese automotive industry.
It gives the terms and definitions for the assembly, shortened in the text to the dryer, the requirements it has to meet and the bench test methods for its performance.
Its scope is the regenerative desiccant air dryer used in vehicle air brake systems; air dryers that are not of the intermittent desiccant type fall outside it.
GB/T 5620-2002 and GB/T 10125-2012 are cited and applied with it. The standard carries the Chinese classification T24. Issued on 30 April 2015, it has applied since 1 October 2015.
