Scope

QC/T 865-2011 is the English-translated version of 螺旋铆钉.

QC/T 865-2011 is the Chinese automotive industry standard for tapping rivets, giving their type, dimensions and technical conditions. It applies to rivets with a diameter d of 1.9 mm to 4.2 mm used on vehicles to fasten thin metal sheet to ferrous and non-ferrous castings, and to join panels, liners and similar hard materials to metal plate.

The standard also covers the use of these rivets for fastening plastics and other soft materials. GB/T 116, QC/T 326 and QC/T 625 are the documents it quotes. It is classified T31 in the Chinese scheme and 43.040 under ICS. Issued on 20 December 2011, it has applied since 1 July 2012.
